The new office of the Ministry of SoZaWe (Social Affairs and Employment) is designed by Meyer and Van Schooten Architects from Amsterdam and is situated at De Eendrachtskade, Europapark in Groningen.
The office building has a fresh, light and friendly appearance and contains 17.000 square meters gross floor area. The central theme of the design is sustainability. Commissioned by BAM Utiliteitsbouw Rollecate has produced the entire composite element façade. Rollecate has also provided the aluminium curtain walls and atrium curtain wall, including the floor panels with integrated climate systems.
The composite element façade is developed, produced, tested and produced (from scratch) by Rollecate.
The façade had to meet the increased requirements related to sound, wind and water tightness. The entire façade is maximally insulaterd and the panelled parts of the façade are two times better insulated than what is prescribed.
All the exterior windows contain triple glass.
