Isala Hospital Zwolle

An important feature of the organic style of building is the human measure. However, the character of a small scale building would seem to be inconsistent with the fact that the Isala hospital is currently the largest general hospital in the Netherlands. Nature is also an important feature of organic architecture. That is why the towers are designed to include an interior garden, in which trees, shrubs and other plants will form a natural transition from interior to exterior. In this way, an atmosphere is created in which people feel at ease and it gives a positive influence on proces of getting better.
